VC Monday: Cookies and baseball (yes you read that right)

yc1.jpgTime for another exciting edition of VC Monday, Siliconera readers! Well, okay, not really that exciting. In fact kind of disappointing, honestly. This week we get two NES games. First, Yoshi's Cookie, a puzzle game starring Yoshi and Mario in a baker's hat. Match cookies to clear them away, ect. You should know the drill by now. Yoshi's Cookie is a good game, but come on, the NES version? At least give us the SNES version. Sheesh. Second is Bases Loaded, a baseball game from Jaleco and TOSE. If you're into baseball games, Bases Loaded is probably the second best on the VC, behind the great Baseball Stars 2. The most unique part about it is it's television-like presentation. A decent baseball game, especially compared to Nintendo's Baseball.

Meh. This week's kind of lame, if you ask me. In fact, how long has it been since we've had a truly great VC game? Lords of Thunder? Oh well. I suppose we can always look forward to WiiWare. Anyway, for any of you picking up either of today's VC releases, enjoy them!
