Double Dragon, more TG-16 imports heading to the Virtual Console?

ddnes.jpgOh man, Double Dragon. It was one of my favorite NES games growing up, and still remains as one of my favorites. And according to the OFLC website, it's coming to the Virtual Console! Double Dragon certainly has a following, so this is great news for many gamers. There's a few unknowns here, though. First, it's unknown if the version rated is the NES version, or the Genesis/Megadrive version. Though if I had to venture a guess, I'd say it's probably the NES version. Also unknown is who is going to be publishing the game on the VC. 505 Games published Technos' Street Gangs (aka River City Ransom) on the European VC, so it's likely that they've also got the Double Dragon license as well. But who holds the license in the US?

Also rated by the OFLC are two TG-16 imports. First up is Break In by Naxat Soft. Really not much to say about this one. It's a rather bland billiards game. In more exciting news, the next import up on the list is Final Soldier. Well, exciting for fans of the Star Soldier series. The third game in the Star Soldier series, Final Soldier isn't really as good as the other entries in the series, but it's still a good shmup. It seems that these three games will be coming to the European and Australian Virtual Consoles, but no word on their US releases. Let's keep our fingers crossed, at least for Double Dragon!
