Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Has Link Batter Up For Some Baseball

Like any Zelda game worth its salt, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will feature a variety of mini-games, some of which Nintendo detailed this morning. These mini-games or subequests will yield rewards in the form of rupees or heart containers.

Treacherous Tower, pictured above, has Link fighting his way through the floors of a tower filled with enemies in three difficulty levels.

Octoball has Link partaking in a baseball-like minigame in Lorule, where rupees are earned by smashing pots and knocking enemies on the battlefield over.

Nintendo have also officially confirmed that A Link Between Worlds will have a Hero Mode difficulty, which can be unlocked upon completing the game. In Hero Mode, Link will take greater damage from enemies when hit.

Finally, Nintendo also tease a bonus for a second playthrough of the game. According to Nintendo, “Intrepid explorers may even find a small hidden extra waiting to be found somewhere in Lorule during a second play through.”

Perhaps this secret is in some way connected to the Majora’s Mask tease?
