Zelda DLC For Sonic Lost World Puts Sonic In Hyrule Field

Sonic: Lost World is getting a free downloadable stage tomorrow, based on The Legend of Zelda franchise, Nintendo have revealed to IGN. Instead of focusing on speed, the stage, which you can see above, will attempt to focus a little more on the adventuring aspect.

The Zelda stage brings elements of different Zelda games together, including Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time and Skyward Sword. The Hyrule Field portion of the stage is an open area, but there’s also a dungeon that Sonic can explore, and this part of the stage is more Sonic-like in approach, focusing on speed through a linear pathway.

The Zelda DLC will be available for the Wii U version of Sonic: Lost World tomorrow, March 27th, via the Nintendo eShop. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata originally teased the DLC in a Nintendo Direct stream, but provided no details at the time.
