Konami promised that there would be Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duels details revealed at gamescom 2021, and it is making good on that promise. Ahead of the event, it shared a new teaser trailer for the game. In addition to showing off how it will work, it also involved a few more details. Namely that there will be over 10,000 cards available in Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel.
The details for the new video offered up a very brief explanation about the Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel cards. It also confirmed they won’t all be free or immediately available to acquire. Konami’s fine print in the description and in the video itself said, “Some cards may require event participation or in-game purchases.” The game itself will be free-to-play when it eventually launches on consoles, PCs, and mobile devices.
The video begins by showing off what it looks like when a battle begins. It then shows snippets of play. Some of the cards used in the Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel trailer include Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Dark Magician, and Exodia the Forbidden One.
Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel is in development and will appear on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and both Android and iOS worldwide.
