Konami announced that Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel downloads have surpassed 30 million worldwide. To celebrate, all users will receive 1,000 gems if they log in before June 30, 2022. Additionally, Konami announced that it will be adjusting “limit regulations” to create a more balanced experience for players. This includes a new list of restricted and semi-restricted cards. The single card that Konami has lifted restrictions on is the Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon card.

In March 2021, Konami announced downloads for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel had reached 20 million worldwide. Users who logged in during the celebration period received 1,000 gems, similar to the celebration being held to mark 30 million downloads worldwide. The title functions on the Master Duel system. While it has a multiplayer mode, a single-player mode is available, which features a unique story.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Android and iOS devices. It is available to download entirely for free.
