McDonald’s UK announced the latest Happy Meal plush toys involves Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty dressed as Yu-Gi-Oh monsters and characters. The items are available now, and five of the items we could get were confirmed.
Here are the five Hello Kitty Yu-Gi-Oh plush toys that are a part of the collection:
- Badtz-Maru as Red-Eyes Black Dragon
- Cinnamoroll as Blue-Eyes White Dragon
- Hello Kitty as Dark Magician
- Kuromi as Slifer the Sky Dragon
- My Melody as Dark Magician Girl
- Pompompurin as Exodia

The official McDonald’s UK site also features a number of activities related to the crossover. These allow us to print out pages for different tasks. One involves matching Sanrio characters. Another is a puzzle. There is a Tic-Tac-Toe sheet. People can also go through a maze or draw different characters in their costumes.
In Japan, a 2023 McDonald’s promotion involved 50 Hello Kitty toys showing up for the character’s anniversary. People were able to collect different plush toys of the iconic cat in various outfits.
The Yu-Gi-Oh Hello Kitty Happy Meal toys are now at McDonald’s UK locations.
