Falcom revealed on their official Twitter account a Japanese box for Ys VIII’s upcoming PS4 version, and it shows an unknown pink-haired character that wasn’t in the original version of the game.

In addition to the regular party members, you can see the additional character on the upper-left part of the box art, whom we’ve yet to see in the PS Vita version of the game.

She appears to also have some sort of accessory on her chest that resembles that of Dana’s childhood friend, Olga, so there might be a connection there.

Ys VIII releases in North America and Europe in Fall 2017 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and PC. The PlayStation 4 version of the game launches in Japan on May 25, 2017. Catch up on more about the PS4 version of the game and its “secret elements” in our earlier report.
