Company president Toshihiro Kondo mentions in the magazine that the PlayStation Vita version will be released first since there are plenty of PS Vita owners that enjoy Falcom games such as Tokyo Xanadu and the Trails of Cold Steels series, so they’re looking to deliver a proper PS Vita version first. The PS4 version will be delayed to 2017 and there won’t be any additional content expected from it.

The magazine also revealed two new characters with the whip-mace 12-year-old character Ricotta (CV: Nozomi Yamamoto) and the 24-year-old bayonet-wielder Hummel (CV: KENN).

Again, we got a look at the voice actors for the other characters that have already been revealed:

  • Adol: Yuki Kaji
  • Raksha: Natsumi Takamori
  • Sahad: Hidenobu Kiuchi
  • Dana: Saori Onishi

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana will release in Japan on July 21, 2016 for PlayStation Vita and in 2017 for PlayStation 4.
