You Can Build the Mega Man X Rising Fire Model Kit in June

We finally know when people will be able to buy and build Kotobukiya’s Mega Man X Rising Fire model kit. People in Japan will be able to pick it up in June 2021, while it will ship out in North America in July 2021.

This is actually a new version of an existing kit. Kotobukiya creates Mega Man X Force Armor sets, and different variants change the look of the armor to reflect different in-game abilities. It’s inspired by the Magma Dragon abilities and Ryuenjin, with the kit having a larger than usual Plasma Charge Shot effect that could be paired with other models in the series. The exact number of pieces in the kit weren’t shared, beyond the estimated 201～400, but the final project will give people an articulated 1/12 scale figure that could be displayed with the armor on or off.

We’ve honestly known about this new Mega Man X model for quite some time. Prototype pictures of the figure appeared back in May 2020. It also was a part of the Kotobukiya Expo 2020 Winter stream.

The Mega Man X Force Armor Rising Fire model kit will appear in June 2021 in Japan and July 2021 in North America. Pre-orders cost $79.99 at the Kotobukiya online storefront.
