While trying to repair it, a malfunctioning time machine keeps sending the player back in time, steadily creating multiple copies of them. Should one of these copies see the player, it creates a game-ending time paradox in first person VR puzzler Yon Paradox.
In order to fix the broken time machine, players will be solving various kinds of puzzles and memory games, manipulating objects in the environment. These tasks are broken up all over the game’s world.
Players will have to carefully plan their routes to Yon Paradox’s puzzles, though, as every time the machine resets time, it will leave behind a copy of the player that will recreate all of the actions they just took. This means the puzzles they solved will stay solved, but if that replica sees the player, it’s a Game Over.
Players will need to remember all of the paths they took through the game (up to 40 can be in play at the same time) to keep from running into themselves, creating a system where the player is both protagonist and antagonist of their own playthrough.
Yon Paradox’s various puzzles can be played on PC or in VR, and is available now on Steam.
