We have a Yashahime English air date, and it isn’t that far off from the Japanese one. In fact, it’s a simultaneous launch. Viz announced that people will be able to begin watching the show on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Hulu starting on October 3, 2020. As a reminder, the Japanese debut is that very same day.
Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon focuses on the next generation of characters. People like Kagome are all grown up, so we see her and Inuyasha’s daughter, Moroha. However, Moroha is only one of the stars, as the primary focus of the series is on Sesshomaru’s twin daughters, Towa Higurashi and Setsuna. Towa’s last name is the same as Kagome’s, as when she was a child she ended up in modern times and raised by Kagome’s brother, Sota, and his family.
There’s been quite a lot of news about Yashahime and what people can expect from the series. There was a trailer from Viz back in August 2020 that looked at the Yashahime English subtitled version. We also know that the opening theme will be SixTONES’ “New Era” and the ending thing will be Uru’s “Break.”
Yashahime: Princess-Half Demon will air worldwide starting on October 3, 2020. There’s no release estimate for physical copies yet.
