Yakuza TikTok Filters Will Appear as Part of Special Challenge

Sega and TikTok will be collaborating to bring Yakuza filters to the mobile app. As part of a special challenge to win Yakuza series merchandise, including a PlayStation 4 version of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, users will have a limited time to access special filters. The filters will allow users to use various effects, which will feature Kazuma Kiryu, Goro Majima, and Ichiban Kasuga. [Thanks, Gamer!]

These filters are immediately available to Japanese users of the TikTok app. Additionally, the contest will only take place in Japan, so international consumers will not be eligible to receive the rewards. The contest will be held from March 26 to April 11, 2021. Prizes include a copy of Yakuza: Like a Dragon for PlayStation 4, a special Yakuza: Like a Dragon baseball cap, and a bag.

This collaboration between Sega and TikTok is in response to the recent 15th anniversary of the Yakuza series. To commemorate the series, a special Yakuza series encyclopedia was released. The encyclopedia covers the events of the series including Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Yakuza 0. It’s currently the second Yakuza encyclopedia to be released.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon is immediately available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
