Yae Miko Teased as an Upcoming Genshin Impact Character

Mihoyo took to Twitter to share a new image of a familiar face. The company teased a potential Yae Miko Genshin Impact debut. It also teased that her character title will be Astute Amusement.

Here’s the official reveal. It confirms her role as the head of both Grand Narukami Shrine and Inazuma City’s Yae Publishing House.

This is important because Mihoyo often teases playable character announcements in this way. It previously did this with Thoma, Shenhe, and Yun Jin. Since the developer is teasing her now, it might mean she will be a new character introduced in the 2.5 update in February 2022.

While the announcement didn’t reveal details about her weapon, we already know her element. Yae Miko shows up both in the Genshin Impact Chapter 2 Archon Quests and in Gorou hangouts. You can see her wearing her Electro Vision like an earring.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. It will also come to the Nintendo Switch. The 2.4 update will appear on January 5, 2022.
