Nintendo updated Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and shared the patch notes for the 2.0.0 update. As expected, it adds support for the new Future Redeemed expansion. However, it also fixes a big issue with the swimwear. Prior to this, it was possible to get an error that would make it say a player had completed the challenges to get the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 swimsuits from a past add-on, but not actually have the swimwear.

The swimsuits were a part of the Expansion Pass’ second wave of content. People could complete challenges to earn swimwear for all of the main Xenoblade Chronicles 3 characters, and now everyone who experienced the issue will immediately get the swimsuits. Nintendo noted that anyone who had this happen after starting a new game will find the outfits in their inventory after applying the patch.

Here are the full patch notes for the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 2.0.0 update.

Additions to Spec

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where starting a NEW GAME after acquiring swimwear would make the player unable to receive the swimwear.

    • In the event that this issue is already affecting your game, updating the title will cause the swimwear to already be acquired.
  • Fixed an issue where a character’s status display in battle would remain the same as when interlinked.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3, the Future Redeemed DLC, and patch 2.0.0 are available for the Nintendo Switch.
