Xbox One U.S. Sales Doubled In June Says Microsoft

Recommended Videos

Xbox One console sales doubled in the U.S. during the month of June compared to May, Microsoft said today. The increase in sales is attributed to the release of the new $399 Xbox One model that is available without the Kinect camera add-on.

Microsoft did not specify just how many Xbox One systems were sold during the month.

The publisher pointed to exclusive titles like Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Sunset Overdrive and Forza Horizon 2 as games that will drive interest in the platform later this year, alongside other multiplatform releases.

Note: Microsoft say the sales data represents sell-through numbers based on internal data.
