According to “PisangMinyakRebus” on the GachaGaming subreddit, there is a critical bug in Wuthering Waves in which you can access future content by changing your system’s date. The post provides a link to a Bilibili video in which the poster shows Yinlin’s trial stage.
For reference, Yinlin is an upcoming five-star character who’ll be available later on in Wuthering Waves. Judging by the dates on the video, her trial stage and banner will run from June 12, 2024 to July 2, 2024. However, by changing the date on the computer to be June 25, 2024, the player was able to show them playing as Yinlin.
Comments on the video have ranged from the shocked (“You can do this?!”) to amused (at the expense of the hapless enemies Yinlin is kicking about). A lot of the comments also point out how laggy the video is as a whole. However, it’s unknown if this is an issue with Wuthering Waves’s current performance problems or if it’s something that only affects the recording. It may also be the fact that this is content players straight up are not allowed to access that’s causing the instability.
Wuthering Waves launched on May 23, 2024 worldwide. Though many have praised the combat system, there are major issues regarding localization, performance, and overall stability. Kuro Games has acknowledged these problems and are fixing them. It’s unknown if Kuro Games is aware of or plans to fix this Wuthering Waves bug any time soon.
Wuthering Waves is readily available on mobile devices and Windows PCs.
