Wizardry, Last Bible developers move to the DS / PS3

wizardry.jpgDiehard Megami Tensei fans probably heard of the Last Bible side stories. Access Games worked on the second one and a number of Wizardry games for the Turbo CD. This stuff is over a decade old and the company hasn’t shut its doors yet. So, what is Access doing to pay the rent?

After making handheld games for the WonderSwan (X: Card of Fate and slew of Hunter X Hunter titles) they moved on to the Nintendo DS. On March 2007 they completed work on an unnamed Nintendo DS adventure game. Last month they finished working on another unnamed DS game, but this project is an action game. Since they declined to name both titles these games could very well be on store shelves now. The 2007 game probably is. I’m sort of curious what these games are, but we probably won’t find out since it looks like they are an outsourcing house now.

It also looks like they are working with the PlayStation 3 since it’s under their “Game Soft & Amusement” section on the front page. However, this seems like an odd choice for a company surviving on income from D3 Publisher’s simple series games. They developed the Table Game Collection for the GBA. Perhaps, they are working on PlayStation Network projects?
