There is no information as to what percentage of sales came from those who played the game previously, are Nasuverse fans who never experienced Witch on the Holy Night, or are completely new to the concept of the Nasuverse. For reference, the Nasuverse refers to Type-Moon games that all share the same setting. This includes Witch on the Holy Night, the Fate series, Kara no Kyoukai, Tsuki no Sango, Notes, and Tsukihime.

Witch on the Holy Night is the foundation of the Nasuverse, as the first work that Kinoko Nasu wrote for it. The enhanced 2022 version of the game has full voice acting, as well as updated graphics. In general, it plays exactly the same as the 2012 PC game though. It follows the story of Aoko Aozaki, a mage who lives in a mansion with the Witch, Alice Kuonji. One day, transfer student Sizuki Soujyuro stumbles upon them using magic and though they attempt to silence him, he ends up living in their house with them.

Witch on the Holy Night is available digitally on the Nintendo Switch and the PS4. The physical edition of the game will come out in the west on January 27, 2023.
