On May 12, Nintendo’s download service for original Wii games, WiiWare, will launch in North America. Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a King (trademark officially confirmed) is on the list along with LostWinds and a new (!) episodic game series from Telltale, the developers of the new Sam & Max games. A week later (May 19), Wii Fit arrives in stores bundled with the balance board accessory.

As the new item on the list LostWinds certainly looks interesting. It’s a platformer and all of the released screenshots have at least one light blue swirling diamond on them. This might be a cursor with a wind-like pointer trail dragging behind. Just a thought, but LostWinds would get points for originality if the gameplay consisted of players waving the remote to control wind and push the boy around. The last screenshot in our gallery suggests this could be the case. Wave the remote up to lift the boy and then wave it to the right to make him leap forward.
