Wii Fit U Makes It Easy For Existing Wii Fit Users To Upgrade

Nintendo are trying to give Wii Fit owners to upgrade to their next Wii Fit title, the publisher has announced. Starting November 1st, Wii U owners will be able to download a full version of Wii Fit U for free and try the game out for a full month at no cost—provided they own a Wii Balance Board, of course.

 

During the trial period, players will get to try out 77 different activities, including 19 new training activities, a number of which use the Wii U GamePad. Users that wish to continue using Wii Fit U beyond the trial period can purchase a Fit Meter accessory to sync to their game. The Fit Meter will be available for $20 at retail.

 

The Fit Meter will track a number of activities on a daily basis, which as number of steps taken, intensity of steps, altitude of your steps, calories burned and more.

 

The free version Wii Fit U will be available for download from Novemeber 1st, 2013 until January 2014. If you don’t own a Balance Board and need to buy the entire package, you’ll be able to buy a full retail version of Wii Fit U on December 13th.
