It’s a big week for The Legend of Heroes fans. We’re at a period of time where every new entry gets localized. Trails into Reverie just appeared to give us more time with fan-favorites from the Erebonia and Crossbell regions. It’s also a good opportunity to look back, given the change to reconnect with characters. Nothing tops The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, as I wholeheartedly believe it is the best entry in the series. Estelle and Joshua’s journey as new Bracers and two young adults out to discover truths about the world and themselves is fantastic. The progression is great. The world feels alive. Also, it doesn’t wear out its welcome by taking four entries to tell its story. (I love Cold Steel, but it’s so much.) — Jenni

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 3 is narrowly the strongest game in the series for me. Rean taking on the role of teacher alongside a brilliant new Class VII was filled with my favorite characters in the series. The locations, combat, characters, side quests, and academy fire on all cylinders, feeling like the strongest in the franchise. However, Trails in the Sky and Trails from Zero also impress with their witty writing and terrific casts. — Cody
