Final Fantasy VII Rebirth releases in 2024, but players can pre-order the game ahead of launch. Before you decide to purchase though, I recommend figuring out which version of the game to get. After all, there are several different Final Fantasy VII Rebirth editions available, even though the game is only available on the PS5 until the end of May 2024.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Standard Edition
First up is the regular old Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Standard Edition. This version of the game comes with the game itself, and that’s pretty much it aside from some possible pre-order bonuses. It costs $69.99. There is a digital and physical version of the Standard Edition, and here are some the pre-order bonuses you can get with it:
- Controller Skin: This is only a physical copy bonus at Amazon.
- Midgar Bangle MK. II: Physical copies only come with it.
- Moogle Trio summoning materia: This is only available with digital copies.
- Steelbook Case: Physical copies purchased at Best Buy are the only ones that include it.
FFVII Rebirth Digital Deluxe Edition
For PS5 players with a digital-only console or who prefer downloads, there is also a Digital Deluxe Edition. You can buy that for $99.99. It comes with the following additional items:
- Digital artbook
- Digital mini soundtrack
- Magic Pot summoning materia
- Orchid Bracelet armor
- Reclaimant Choker accessory
FFVII Remake and Rebirth Digital Twin Pack
There is also a Digital Twin Pack for $69.99 on the PlayStation Store. This one is really weird because it’s the same price as the standard digital edition. However, you also get FFVII Remake Intergrade for free in the pack, which you can immediately play. There is also a Digital Deluxe Twin Pack for $99.99, which comes with both games and the aforementioned Digital Deluxe Edition items.
FFVII Rebirth Physical Deluxe Edition
There is a physical version of the Deluxe Edition for $99.99. It comes with the following items:
- Exclusive Steelbook
- Hardback Artbook
- Mini Soundtrack CD
FFVII Rebirth Collector’s Edition
Finally, there is the grandest of the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth editions: the Collector’s Edition. This costs a whopping $349.99, but it comes with every single item from the regular (not twin pack) physical and digital editions. However, this option excludes pre-order bonuses from certain retailers like Amazon and Best Buy.
In addition, you get the Sephiroth Static Arts figure with it. This 19-inch figure shows the one-winged angel with a detachable wing. This version is exclusive to the Square Enix Store.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth releases for PS5 on February 29, 2024. Its exclusivity arrangement ends at the end of May 2024.
