Where’s a Pearl Pocket-Watch for Rody in Eiyuden Chronicle

Some Eiyuden Chronicle characters require a specific item before they join, and Rody wants a Pearl Pocket-Watch. There are a number of ways to get one, but I found the easiest is to visit a certain spot.

Where do I find the Pearl Pocket-Watch for Rody in Eiyuden Chronicle

You can actually get this item way before you head to Dabavin and encounter Rody. When you’re in the Euchrisse region tying up those loose ends, head to the Seaside Cavern dungeon. It is right beside the one hidden fishing spot in the region.

Head inside. The Unknown Pocket-Watch is in the treasure chest I highlighted on the map below. Open the beige chest to get it. You can then take it to Rody or another appraiser to learn it is a Pearl Pocket-Watch.

Rody is at the bottom-most floor of Dabavin. The appraiser is right next to the tool shop. So you can get an item appraised… but you should select the second option to bring up the recruitment process. Rody will only join if you have the Pearl Pocket-Watch in Eiyuden Chronicle. Have the one you picked up at Seaside Cavern appraised, hand it over, and you’re all set!

Is Rody good in Eiyuden Chronicle?

Rody is your appraiser, which is a helpful shop to have at the castle. Once you recruited the character, you need 2,000 Headquarters Funds to build the facility at the Trading House. It’ll be on the first floor.

I wouldn’t recommend setting Rody as a support. The character’s Magical Pocket-Watch is handy, since everyone acts faster in battle. But Cassandra and her ability to swap allies in and out at any save point is way better.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
