If you’re anything like me, there’s a high chance you’ll be collecting every cup, snack, material, weapon, helmet, and more that you come across in Starfield. But most of these items have no use for you outside of making some credits. As such, you’ll want to figure out how and where to sell your items in Starfield as soon as possible.

Where to Sell Your Items in Starfield

Unfortunately, you have to beat the prologue mission in Starfield and leave Vectera before you can sell your stuff. Once you finish that, though, the galaxy is open to you. You can sell items at any major city, spaceport, space station, and civilization in the game.

If you’re in a rush, head to early-game locations such as New Atlantis, Cydonia, Akila City, Neon, HopeTown, or New Homestead. When you visit these cities, you can sell at the Trade Authority kiosk near your ship or look for various traders in the city.

If you’re in the middle of nowhere on a random planet in the galaxy, try to look for a civilian outpost or research center where there might be other people. They usually have an NPC that you can sell your items to, and might even have some missions you can take from them.

Finally, if you are in the middle of space with a bunch of junk, you’d like to sell for credits, try to hail down any peaceful ships you come across by targeting them and pressing the corresponding button (A on controller).

Most of the non-hostile ships you find in space will have an option for you to see what they have and trade with them. Just know the more remote the person is you’re trading with, the fewer credits they will have to give you for your stuff.

Starfield is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
