Where to find Torchic in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Unlike other Pokemon in the Blueberry Academy, the Hoenn Fire-type Starter can only be found in one location in the entire Terarium map. Torchic can be found in a cave in the Polar Biome in the Pokemon Indigo Disk DLC after you purchase an upgrade for the Snowy region at the League Club PC.

The quickest way to find Torchic in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is to use the Polar Plaza fast-travel point in the Polar Biome. Once here, turn around and look for a cave entrance at the base of the mountain that has a Terastallized Metang inside of it. You can also use my screenshots above to get an exact location.

Once inside the cave, run around until you see a Torchic spawn into the overworld. If you don’t see the Hoenn Starter, exit the cave and re-enter it until you find the Fire-type Pokemon. You can also set a picnic to reset the region’s spawns. Eventually, you will find a handful of Torchic walking around in the snowy cave.

How to catch Torchic in Pokemon Indigo Disk

To catch Torchic in the Pokemon Indigo Disk DLC, you need to upgrade the Polar Biome Terarium with 3,000 BP points. After you upgrade the Polar Biome at the League Club’s PC Support Board, Torchic will start spawning in your game.

Below are the steps to get Torchic in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet:

• Complete BBQ quests in the Terarium to earn Blueberry Points. After you collect 3,000 BP, fast-travel to the Blueberry Academy Entrance warp point.
• Enter the Academy and select the League Club Room.
• Go to the League Club PC and select the “Contribute BP” option.
• On the Support Board, donate to the Terarium Club and select the “Boost diversity in the Polar Biome” option for 3,000 BP.
• After you upgrade, the Polar Biome Torchic can be found in a cave next to the Polar Plaza.

For those wondering, yes, Torchic can be Shiny hunted in the Pokemon Indigo Disk DLC. This means it’s possible to obtain a Shiny Blaziken in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
