Saint of the Slums DD2 Miasmite Location

The Saint of the Slums DD2 quest can be picked up in Vernworth after speaking to Elena at The Gracious Hand building near the Common Quarter of the city. To kick off the quest, Elena will ask you to find her three Miasmite materials. The only problem is, she gives no hints as to where you can find it. We’ve got you covered though!

Miasmite can be found outside the north Vernworth exit in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and can only be obtained by killing Phantom enemies during night time. For your convenience, we have provided a map below that shows you the quickest place to find Miasmite for the Saint of the Slums DD2 quest:

While in Vernworth, sleep at an Inn or your House “Until Nighttime.” Once it’s dark outside, take the north Vernworth exit shown on the map above. Walk across the giant wooden bridge and keep traveling north outside of the city. You will eventually reach a second wooden bridge over water. As you step on it, you should see glowing green Phantom creatures in the woods near it.

Cross the bridge and then head into the woods to kill the phantom creatures. You will know you are facing the right enemies as they will make creepy wailing noises, and they will quickly zip around the air like green smoke. Here is an image of the enemy you are looking for:

Kill the Phantom Ghost creatures as quickly as possible. They will zip around in the air, so you may need to chase after them to keep applying pressure. If you have a ranged Pawn like an Archer, Mage, or Sorcerer, their attacks will take them out fairly easily. Once you defeat them, the Phantoms will drop a pile of Miasmite you can pick up off the ground.

After you collect three Miasmite items, it’s time to head back to the Vernworth Slums. Once here, speak to Elena and give her each Miasmite to progress the Saint of the Slums DD2 quest to its next step.

A cutscene will now trigger, and you will walk inside the Gracious Hand building. After speaking to a sick patient named Lubomir, wait for Elena to leave. Lubomir will then tell you that he believes Elena is poisoning him and will ask you to investigate the Gracious Hand.

How to enter The Gracious Hand Basement in Saint of the Slums DD2

The second part of the Saint of the Slums DD2 quest has you investigating The Gracious Hand. To kick this off, exit the building and speak to Lottie, who voices her concerns about Elena taking patients to the “basement.” After hearing this, re-enter the Gracious Hand building and speak to Lubomir again.

Lubomir will then ask you to enter the basement to investigate and choose “accept.” The only problem is that the basement door will be locked if you start the quest during the daytime. To enter the Gracious Hand Basement door, you need to visit the bottom flooring during nighttime. Either Sleep at an Inn or your house and return to the slums during nightfall.

At night, enter The Gracious Hand and make your way downstairs. The Basement door will now be unlocked. Walk past the bed of sick patients and enter Elena’s office. The first time you are looking for is the “Records of Treatment,” which can be found on the bookshelf in the west corner of the room.

The second item you need in the Saint of the Slums quest is the Unlabeled Medicine found on Elena’s desk. Head over to the east side of the room and look for the giant wooden table. The small bottle of medicine can be found in front of the mortar and pestle.

Where to Speak to Bruno in Saint of the Slums DD2

After you find the two items, head back upstairs and give them to Lubomir. This will then kick off the third part of the Saint of the Slums DD2 quest. The sick patient will now ask you to seek out former patients of the Gracious Hand. Specifically, he will want you to speak to Bruno and Jehan. During the nighttime, both Bruno and Jehan can be found outside Walter’s Tavern in the Slums north of the Gracious Hand building.

Walk over to Walter’s Tavern, and you can usually find Jehan sitting by the campfire outside the bar. You can find an image of Jehan below, so you know who to look for. After speaking to him, you will now need to find a Beastren named Bruno.

Strangely, I couldn’t find Bruno right away. But after a few minutes, he actually walked up and sat next to Jehan. So, if you don’t see him right away, hang around and wait for him to take a seat next to Jehan. You can find an image below of what Bruno looks like:

After talking to Bruno and Jehan, they will tell you about Elena’s secret meeting with a strange man at night. Travel to the entrance of The Common Quarter in Vernworth. The location should be marked on your map. You will find Elena talking to a man in front of a closed-off well. Listen to the conversation to progress the quest.

The final step is to head to Rest Town to get the Unlabeled Medicine checked out by a doctor named Radcliff. The quickest way to get to Rest Town in the Saint of the Slums DD2 quest is to take the West Vernworth Oxcart Station. For your convenience, I have provided a map below that shows its exact location:

Once you arrive in Rest Town, follow the yellow quest marker on your map to find Radcliff. After you enter his house, give him the Unlabeled Medicine, and he will agree to examine it for you. However, he will say he needs a few days to test it.

Head to the entrance of Rest Town and use the Oxcart Station sign to “pass the time.” Use the sign four times in a row to instantly move the week forward. You can now talk to Radcliff again, and he will confirm that the Unlabeled Medicine is, in fact, poison.

How to Complete The Saint of the Slums DD2 Quest – Apprehend Elena

If you find yourself stuck and not sure how to complete the Saint of the Slums DD2 quest, you are not alone! After I gathered all the evidence, I couldn’t figure out how to end the quest. It took me an hour before I understood what “turn in the evidence” and “catch the abbess” meant.

To complete The Saint of the Slums DD2, you need to visit the Gracious Hand at night one last time. Upong entering the building, you will be told that Lubomir has been “moved to the Basement.” Use the stairs and travel to the Gracious Hand Basement, where you will find Elena standing in front of the door. Press “R2” (PlayStation) or “RT” Xbox to jump on top of her. This will trigger a cutscene where she gets arrested.

After the cutscene ends, a Vernworth guard named “Ronald” will inform you that Elena has been taken into custody. This will end the Saint of the Slums DD2 quest. Yep, we are finally done, congrats! Unfortunately, we never find out what happened to poor Lubomir. Hopefully, he survived the not-so Gracious Hand. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox, and PC.
