As you progress in LEGO Fortnite, you will eventually need to unlock Lava Caves to upgrade your village and crafting bench to higher levels. Here is where to find Lava Caves in LEGO Fortnite and how to survive them.
Where are Lava Caves located in LEGO Fortnite?
Lava Caves are found in the Dry Valley desert biome in LEGO Fortnite. Because your world is randomly generated, the desert sections will be in a different place for each player. So, to find the hot biome, you will need to strap on your hiking boots and get walking! There is no way around this, unfortunately.
In my playthrough, I started out in the Grasslands, and I eventually found the desert biome after spending an hour walking through the snowy mountains on my map. One way to spot the desert is to look for strange-looking rock mountains in the distance. You will know you have found the right location when you hit the sand. Once there, you can find Lava Caves randomly throughout the Dry Valley desert.

How to survive hot temperature in LEGO Fortnite
Even when you find a Lava Cave, you must survive the hot temperatures. Once you enter the desert area, your health will start draining immediately due to the heat. So before you go searching for Lava Caves, you should make sure to prepare! Thankfully, there are a few ways to survive hot temperatures in LEGO Fortnite, which I will list below:
Snow Berry
The easiest way to survive hot temperatures in LEGO Fortnite is to eat a Snow Berry. Using the Epic fruit will make you resistant to all heat damage for two minutes, while also curing your hunger. Snow Berry bushes can only be found in snow biomes on your map. Look for a bush with giant blue berries attached to them.
Once you find a Snow Berry, walk up to them and interact with the bush to pick the fruit. You can usually get three to five berries per pick. The heat-resistant item can be found pretty easily in the snow, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding them.
Cool-Headed Charm
If you want a more permanent solution, then you will want to craft the Cool-Headed Charm to gain resistance to hot temperatures. To unlock the Cool-Headed Charm recipe in LEGO Fortnite, you need to upgrade your Crafting Bench to level 2.
Once you have obtained the recipe, you can craft a Cool-Headed Charm with three Silk Thread, one Marble, and three Sand Shell items. Make sure to equip it to your character in the inventory menu.
