Where to get High Quality Pal Oil in Palworld
The first real gun you unlock in Palworld is the Musket at level 21, and you need High Quality Pal to craft it. You are in luck because I’ve scoured the map and found where you can obtain this highly-coveted oil. High Quality Pal Oil is dropped by Digtoise and Dumud in the desert west of the Quivern Alpha Pal and the Sealed Realm of the Winged Tyrant fast travel point in Palworld.
The Pals that produce the oil will be around levels 18 and 20, so you must be at a higher level before you can set out to collect the item. From my experience, you can get up to six High Quality Pal Oil if you catch or defeat a Digtoise. You will also need special armor to enter this section of the map, so make sure you craft the Heat Resistant Pelt armor, which costs 15 Leather and four Flame Organs before you head out.

Where to find Digtoise location in Palworld
Once you arrive at the sands area in the map location above, look for the giant tortoise-looking Pal. They are easy to spot as they are brown and have giant metal spikes on their back. You can also find Dumud, which looks like a giant fish on the sand. Either of these Pals will drop High Quality Pal Oil after you defeat or catch them. It took me about five minutes to have over 50 oil in my inventory.

There are other locations where you can obtain High-Quality Pal Oil in Palworld, but this is the ideal location in the early game due to being accessible on foot, as well as the Digtoise and Dumud being level 18, which makes them easy to catch or take down. Once you have enough High Quality Pal Oil, you can make the Musket at the Weapon Bench.
Where to buy High Quality Pal Oil in Palworld
You can buy High Quality Pal Oil from the Traveling Merchant in the Duneshelter warp point in Palworld. The vendor’s location is north on the map, in the desert region. However, you will need to wear heat-resistant clothing not to take damage.
Once you arrive in the desert area, enter the makeshift city where you will find the merchant wearing a red coat. Interact with him and select the “buy” option. The High Quality Pal Oil is at the bottom of his inventory and is sold for 300 coins a piece.
