Arsox is one of the best Fire-type Pals in Palworld, as it can create Ingots fast with its high Kindling stat. Here is where to find Arsox in Palworld.

Palworld Arsox locations

After you craft the Furnace in Palworld, you will quickly realize that creating Ingot is painfully slow when using early game Pal such as Foxparks. When you are around level 35, you will want to upgrade your smelting process as soon as possible, and Fire-type Pal Arsox is the answer to this problem.

However, finding the fiery ox can be difficult at first as it doesn’t spawn in the opening area. Thankfully, we have done the legwork already and tracked him down! Arsox is located in the Icy Weasel Hill fast travel point in Palworld. The area is the last warp point before you reach the snowy Astral Mountains region.

Below is a map of the exact location Arsox can be found:

How to catch Arsox in Palworld

Arsox spawns at levels 38 to 40, so you should at least be level 35 before attempting to catch it. The Fire-type has an incredibly powerful flamethrower attack that scorches everything around it. Thankfully, the attack is easy to avoid if you use the dodge button and move to the side. Be careful when you avoid the attack because he can sway his flame from side to side.

You should bring a Water-type Pal to catch Arsox, as it is weak to Water attacks. You can catch Pengullet, Penking, Teafant, Celaray, Gobfin, and Surfent in the early game. Finally, I recommend having at least an Ultra Sphere, as it will easily break out of anything lesser.

Below are the steps to catch Arsox:

  • Fast travel to the Icy Weasel Hill warp point. Look for the giant flaming Arsox which will be wandering around in the field.
  • Throw out your Water-type Pal and start attacking Arsox with everything you have. A good weapon for this encounter is the Single-shot Rifle, which can be unlocked at level 36 and crafted with 20 Refined Ingot and 5 Polymer. If you need quicker attacks, the Handgun can be unlocked at level 29 and crafted with 50 Ingot and 15 High Quality Pal Oil.
  • Once you get its health down to 10%, immediately withdraw your Water-type Pal so it doesn’t accidentally knock Arsox out.
  • Throw your Ultra Sphere at it, and keep spamming the ball until you catch Arsox.

Palworld Arsox Skills

Once you catch Arsox, the Fire-type Pal is best used in your base camp due to its abilities. Because it has a 3x Kindling skill, you can crank out Ingot on your furnace at triple the speeds that you normally can. For those that want to use it in combat, he makes a pretty decent mount and attacker as well.

However, you will need to craft a saddle for it before you can ride him. The Arsox leash is unlocked at level 16, and costs 15 Leather, 25 Fiber, 10 Flame Organ, and 15 Paldium Fragment to craft it. You will also need to build a Pal Gear Workbench to create it.
