There are so many hunt marks for players to tackle in Final Fantasy XVI, and one of the most notorious is The Nine of Knives A-rank mark. This powerful foe is one of the more intriguing marks since he isn’t a monster or anything like that, but a normal person with a horrible reputation.

To find The Nine of Knives notorious mark in Final Fantasy XVI, you’ll want to head to The Jaw part of the Dhalmekia region. Once you teleport to this fast travel point, simply follow the road north and you’ll run into this menace within a few short minutes.

The Nine of Knives is waiting alongside the road for unfortunate travelers to walk by and take them out. Thankfully, you’re going to put a stop to his ways. To do this, be sure to watch out since he is an A-rank mark, meaning that he is level 38 when you encounter him.

He is one of the tougher marks, able to conceal his presence with smokescreen and even go underground for a sneak attack. His normal attacks are quite powerful, so if you are able to dodge and counter them well, you should have no problem winning this fight. I suggest always staying on the move and using any AOE skills you have, such as from Bahamut, to take him out as quick as possible.

Once you defeat The Nine of Knives notorious mark, you’ll automatically get your rewards like all of the marks in this game without having to return to the Hideaway and the Hunt Board. For this one, players receive 10,500 Gil, 30 Renown, two Meteorites, and 25 Wyrrites. This is in addition to the usual experience and ability points that the boss gives you.

Final Fantasy XVI is available on the PlayStation 5.
