Some of the most fun optional activities in Final Fantasy XVI are the Notorious Marks. Various bounties appear for infamous monsters in the world of Valisthea for Clive to hunt down. Among them is the Belphegor in Final Fantasy XVI. If you’re having trouble locating this one, I’ve got your back.

So Where Is the Belphegor Mark in Final Fantasy XVI?

The tricky part about these Notorious Marks is that the game doesn’t make it clear where you can find them exactly, besides offering a vague area. To locate the Belphegor boss fight, head to the Eastpool Obelisk in Rosaria. When you arrive here, look on your map and head to the spot in the screenshot above.

You basically want to head southeast from Eastpool across the bridge and then further to the southeast. Follow the linear path here to a cliffside where you can see Belphegor ahead of you. This might be a B-rated mark, but it isn’t actually that hard.

It is level 30, but I was able to safely complete the fight at level 28. So you shouldn’t have too much of an issue, even if you tackle this as soon as you unlock the hunt. The main thing to watch out for are the fire-based attacks that Belphegor uses in battle. These attacks generally affect a wide or long area, so you want to evade as much as possible.

Once you defeat Belphegor, you’ll earn yourself some sweet rewards. You’ll get 700 experience, 60 ability points, two Dragon Talons, 8,000 gil, and 20 Renown. Like always, you don’t have to return to the Hunt Board to get these rewards, as they will automatically unlock after winning the fight.

Final Fantasy XVI is available for the PlayStation 5. A demo is out now as well. There is a six-month exclusivity period.
