Where Are the Legendary Enemies in Starfield?

One of the most confusing parts about Starfield is that it notes there are legendary enemies in the game, but it doesn’t make it clear when you are fighting one. This is quite annoying, since you never know if you are facing off against a legendary enemy or not. Fortunately, there is an easy way to find them and know when you are fighting one.

How to Find Legendary Enemies in Starfield

The best way to ensure you have the utmost chance of finding legendary enemies in Starfield is to up your difficulty level. You can change this anytime and raising it to Very Hard or even just Hard will significantly up the chances of you finding legendary enemies in the game.

Here is what’s interesting about legendary foes, though, is the game doesn’t make it clear where you are fighting one. In general, they are usually significant bosses with unique names and multiple health bars. You’ll see the several segmented health bars and you have to take out an entire HP bar before a segment disappears. Once you defeat all segments, you’ll take out the legendary enemy.

Will You See Legendary Enemies in Starfield‘s Story?

While they are mostly random, many quests and factions offer unique legendary enemies as final bosses. For instance, I recommend taking on the UC Vanguard faction storyline, as it has a couple of legendary foes for you to face off against.

The same goes for the Constellation main storyline, which will send you to places to face off against some of the most powerful enemies in the game. Legendary enemies are worth finding since they usually drop legendary loot and other rare items. If you want to upgrade your arsenal, it’s worth tackling all of the side missions and factions you come across in order to find legendary enemies.

Starfield is available for the Xbox Series X/S and PC.
