What Has The Creator Of Steambot Chronicles Been Up To?

Recommended Videos

Earlier this year, Irem cancelled the release of Steambot Chronicles 2, apologizing in a letter to fans and thanking them for their support. Following that news, we discovered that Steambot Chronicles creator, Kazuma Kujo, had left Irem to form his own company, Granzella. The new company was established in April 2011.

So, what’s Kujo up to at his new studio? My Game News Flash report that Kujo says he’s still working on downloadable titles for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Kujo shared the news with a fan over Twitter, also adding that he has no plans to work on PSP games.

A few months ago, Kujo said that he hoped to release a PlayStation 3 downloadable title by the end of 2011. It doesn’t look like that has happened so far, but Granzella have been working on some rather grand spaces for PlayStation Home in Asia. They’ve released two so far — the Great Edo of Nippon Lounge (above) and the Southern Island Hideaway Lounge (below).

You can view more screenshots of both lounges below. Kujo once said that Granzella’s PlayStation Home lounges would compare to retail games. We don’t know if that claim is true or not, but they certainly do look neat. Both lounges are only available in Asia at the moment, but Granzella are working to have them released in North America and Europe as well.

Great Edo of Nippon: This lounge lets you customize  items including swords, footwear, wigs and kimono for both samurai and townspeople.

Southern Island Hideaway: Granzella keep adding new items to this one as well, including new bikinis, hair accessories, bracelets and so on.
