What are the element types in Palworld?

There are nine element types in Palworld. Most Pals have one element type, although some have two, such as Vanwyrm which is Fire and Dark. You can find out what element a Pal in the wild is by looking at its health bar. Each element is represented by a symbol that shows next to their health.

Here are all the Pal elements in Palworld and how they’re represented:

  • Neutral: a gray icon with a white circle
  • Dark: a red icon with two intersecting boomerang shapes
  • Dragon: a purple icon with a stylised dragon
  • Electric: a yellow icon with a lightning bolt
  • Fire: an orange icon with a flame
  • Grass: a green icon with a leaf
  • Ground: a brown icon with a rock
  • Ice: a light blue icon with a snowflake
  • Water: a dark blue icon with a drop

Which element beats what in Palworld?

Every element is strong against one and weak to another, with two exceptions. Fire is strong against two elements while Neutral isn’t strong against anything.

Here is the full list of weakness for each element:

  • Neutral: weak to Dark
  • Dark: weak to Dragon, strong against Neutral
  • Dragon: weak to Ice, strong against Dark
  • Electric: weak to Ground, strong against Water
  • Fire: weak to Water, strong against Grass and Ice
  • Grass: weak to Fire, strong against Ground
  • Ground: weak to Grass, strong against Electric
  • Ice: weak to Fire, strong against Dragon
  • Water: weak to Electric, strong against Fire

Pals with multiple element types will have the strengths and weaknesses of both types, so be aware of this when you use them.

Palworld is out now in Early Access for the PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
