What Does Siphon Do in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4?

Siphon is a lesser-known mechanic from past seasons and it is back now. How it works is it is essentially like a drain in a way but with a catch. You are able to get health and even shields back from completing certain actions, but it isn’t constant. Instead of constantly draining, you only siphon shields and HP whenever you eliminate someone.

The goal then is to play pretty aggressively whenever you have siphon. You want to deal as much damage as you can possibly deal to eliminate foes as fast as possible. The more enemies you defeat, the more your health will come back and allow you to keep taking out more enemies. As such, this makes it great for taking on squads.

How to Get the Siphon Medallion

At this time in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, there is only one way to get siphon and it is through the Siphon Medallion. There is only one Siphon Medallion on the entire map and you can only get it at Castle Doom. Head here and look for the medallion symbol, which is usually in the northeastern part of the area.

Here, you will find the Doombot NPC boss in the throne room. Defeat him and you will earn the Siphon Medallion. There is only one available per match, but it is worth it for being able to always get health and shields back every time you eliminate someone. This is so overpowered in the endgame circles.

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is available for free right now for Android, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
