What Do Microsoft Have To Say About That $149 Kinect Price?

Aaron Greenberg Earlier today, we reported a Gamestop listing that hinted at a possible launch price for Microsoft’s Kinect. According to Gamestop, the standalone device will retail for $149, when it launches this Fall, or at $299 or $399, depending on what Xbox bundle you purchase it as part of.

Microsoft’s director of product management for the Xbox brand, Aaron Greenberg, however, maintains that the prices on Gamestop are speculative, and not much else. On his Twitter feed, Greenberg wrote in response to the rumours, “No Kinect price announced yet, retail price estimates are purely speculative, final price & pack-in details are not yet
determined.”
