In Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.1, HoYoVerse added a new Companion Mission for Bailu. She’s the healer dragon lady of the Xianzhou Luofu. In this Companion Mission, you get to learn a bit more about what mara is for the Xianzhou residents, as well as see the complicated situation Bailu is in due to her position as the High Elder of the Vidyadhara.
Like all of the other Companion Missions in Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.1, you have to first finish the “Humming Antlers, Entwined Horns” Trailblazer Mission from Version 1.0. After you do so, you can unlock Bailu’s Companion Mission, “Evanesce Like the Morning Dew.”
After you start it, you simply need to follow the quest markers. When Banxia prompts you for proof about her identity, show her the Sanctus Medicus Letter and the Prescription that you get from beating up a mara-struck. Bailu’s story focuses on Banxia, someone from the Alchemy Commission who promised to help Bailu escape if Bailu would treat her beloved Liangmu. The main portion of the quest is to meet Liangmu and let Banxia reunite with him. As you follow through the markers, you’re presented with a choice. What you choose will affect the story.

Should you tell Liangmu the truth in Bailu’s Companion Mission?
Near the end of the mission, you finally find Liangmu at the meeting point. He asks you where Banxia is. Unfortunately, Banxia became a mara-struck, and you had to put her down. You can tell him that the mara-struck he saw earlier was Banxia or you can hide it. You will get a different achievement and a slightly different ending depending on what you do here. However, you will only unlock “Tale of Woe” if you chose to hide Banxia’s identity.
If you choose to tell Liangmu the truth about Banxia, he’ll go see her and then reveal his true colors and feelings about her. In this option, you’re able to beat him up and Bailu will heal him. If you want to give the guy a nice thrashing, this is the option to choose.
Choosing to hide the fact that Banxia was mara-struck will give you a slightly different scene. He’ll still express irritation that she didn’t meet him and then tell you what she was supposed to hand to him. Bailu will heal him and then he’ll leave. After server reset, you should get a text message from Liangmu to start the “Tale of Woe” quest. It’ll tie up loose ends and grant you some Credits.
