As you explore all that Hyrule has to offer, you’ll come across white rabbits in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Well, they look like bunnies from afar, anyway. But up close, you’ll see that they’re more like a rabbit, a deer, and an owl rolled into one. (I find them unnerving.) But these aren’t “rabbits,” and they are instead characters known as “Blupees” in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Here’s what you need to know.
What are those weird rabbit/owl/deer creatures called Blupees in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?
Seen previously in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, they are white and blue mystical creatures that frequent both caves and forests. They’re scared of Link and will run away when you approach them. However, you may be able to get close if you are stealthy, either by just crouching or combined with a Stealth Elixir.

You’ll notice they look similar if you’ve encountered either the Lord of the Mountain or a Bubbulfrog during your adventures, though nobody knows their relation, if any.
So what do Blupees do in Tears of the Kingdom?
As the name suggests, Blupees collect Rupees. If you manage to strike one, whether it be with a well-placed arrow or a weapon, it will drop its treasure. You can score green (one), blue (five), red (20), and, rarely, purple (50) Rupees from a Blupee in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. If you’re fast, you can strike it multiple times and it’ll release multiple Rupees, which makes this a foolproof method for farming money. So make sure to always give a Blupee a whack whenever you see one, because you might walk away with a big score!
