Weekly Famitsu Sales: Nintendo Switch Continues To Dominate The Charts

Last week in Japan, it was another quiet week in video game software and hardware sales. Famitsu’s weekly sales chart shows that for the second week in a row a game has failed to reach the 10,000 mark.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate sold 9,087 units for Switch to take the #1 spot of the week. Minecraft for Switch and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe followed once again at #2 and #3 with 8,467 and 7,867 units sold respectively. Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! & Let’s Go, Eevee! jumped from #6 last week to #4 with 5,912 units sold. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild also made a jump going from #9 last week to #6 this week with 4,695 units sold.

In hardware sales, the PlayStation 4 sold 4,977  units plus an extra 4,005 units of PS4 Pro sales to combine for 8,982 between the two. The Nintendo Switch was again the best-selling hardware with 33,154 units sold in the week.
