Last week, Sony released Infamous: Second Son in Japan, and the game debuted at the #2 spot on the software sales chart, selling 34,801 copies.

What beat it? The PlayStation 3 version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2014: Challenge of the Blue Samurai, which sold 35,656 copies. This game was also released for the Nintendo 3DS and PSP.

Also released last week was To Love-Ru Darkness: Battle Ecstasy for Vita. The game sold 22,327 copies. Meanwhile, Amnesia World from Idea Factory sold 8,650 copies.

Unfortunately, the new releases for the week did little to help weak hardware sales across the board. Next week’s release of Mario Kart 8 should help shake things up.
