While Sega hasn’t made any Phantasy Star Online 2 or Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis announcements yet, it did offer something up to kick off the week. There’s now a new PSO2 New Genesis live-action trailer. The video cuts in gameplay with, well, footage of people.
For the most part, this new video focuses on the game itself. However, after a point we see a number of actual people. After a “We are the future” line is expressed, we see that each one corresponds to a member of a party in PSO2 New Genesis about to take on a boss.

As a reminder, people heading into the game can temporarily get a little help. Sega announced a Rocket Start campaign for it when it launched in June 2021. There are different phases with various rewards until July 6, 2021. Depending on how much you accomplish, you can get certain bonuses and special items. There is also a two part login event. The first runs until June 23, 2021. The second goes between June 23, 2021 and July 6, 2021.
Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC in Japan. It is available globally on the Xbox One and PC.
