To most of you Valentine’s Day meant chocolate, chocolate, and…well, chocolate. To those in Japan, however, we were more excited for the day after – the day that Capcom released the Monster Hunter XX demo on the Nintendo eShop.
Monster Hunter XX (pronounced double-cross) is the “G version” of Monster Hunter X (Generations in the West) and brings a number of new experiences to veteran and greenhorn hunters. Among these new additions include…
· Two new hunting styles, the hyper-offensive Brave style and the super-support class Alchemy Style (called Renkin Style in our prior posts). You can learn more about Brave Style here and here, and more about Alchemy Style here and here.
· Two new flagship monsters in the form of Ouma Diablos and the Astral Comet Wyvern Valfalk, as well as deviant forms of Glavenus, Astalos, Gammoth, and Mizutsune.
· Improvements to the Prowler system which are shown briefly in this video around the 13:00 minute mark.
