Warden: Melody Of The Undergrowth Evokes N64-Era Action Adventures

Recommended Videos

Australian indie game developer Cardboard Keep is aiming to recreate the look and feel of N64-era third-person action adventure titles with the hand-painted fantasy world of Warden: Melody of the Undergrowth.

It puts you in the mind of a soldier who is tasked with restoring the balance between humanity and nature. This is managed with the aid of the Warden Spirit, which shapeshifts into a number of lost children who were called to the Forest, and each have a unique power.

Playing as these various children, you have them travel across derelict ruins, windy mountaintops, and haunting caverns solving puzzles, battling nefarious spirits, and completing platforming challenges.

To survive, you’ll need to use each child’s power, calling upon the creatures of the forest to help you out, as well as avoid traps. Other than the three-act story, there will also be an Arena mode with challenges to complete, and leaderboards to wrestle through.

Warden: Melody of the Undergrowth will be coming to PC and consoles in 2015. You can vote for it on Greenlight, as well as find more information on its website.
