Surprise! GungHo Online Entertainment’s curious mech battle sim/strategy title Volta-X is coming to PC in addition to the Nintendo Switch. A Volta-X PC beta test will be running for one day only on July 18, 2020. This is a public beta test, but space is limited. If you’re interested in this game and want to give it a whirl early, you can sign up for a chance to get in over on the official Volta-X website.
A passion project from a small team, Volta-X is an ambitious game that takes giant robots and kaiju and shows us a different perspective. Instead of directly controlling the giant mecha, players take control of the crew running things behind the scenes. In both PvE and PvP showdowns, players will take on the roles of a crew of animal mechanics, running around inside the mechs to issue commands, repairs, and more. There is also a base management element, in which players also need to take care of the crew. Customization is the name of the game between battles, as players can tweak their mechs, and decide how to run the HQ.
Volta-X is coming to the PC and the Nintendo Switch in Summer 2020.
