Kaori Yuki, best known for Angel Sanctuary and Fairy Cube, has another series coming to her North American fans, courtesy of VIZ. The publisher licensed Guignol Kyuutei Gakudan, localized “Grand Guignol Orchestra,” and are launching the series on October 5th under their Shoujo Beat imprint.

Grand Guignol Orchestra consists of five volumes, based around a singer named Lucille and his Grand Orchestra, a traveling orchestra that ends up in a town threatened by people infected with the Guignol Virus, turning them into zombies.

While it might sound a little bland, Kaori Yuki is known for her creepy, gothic style of work, which is why this is running under a shoujo imprint rather than a shounen one. VIZ are calling it a mix of horror and “tortured romance.”

Volume 1 will debut on October 5th for $9.99 U.S. / $12.99 CAN.
