Vietnamese studio Millia Soft is hoping to make its debut with the visual novel Millia – The ending. It’s currently on Kickstarter where Millia Soft is hoping to raise $2,000 to see the game through to completion. You can also vote for it on Steam Greenlight. You can also download a demo of the game here.

Millia – The ending takes place in a world cursed by the goddess Hedria. Despite having sworn to protect the world, alongside the goddess Millia, Hedria was angered by humanity and vowed to destroy the world with her curse.

Millia didn’t feel the same way, and so to stop Hedria’s curse from shattering the world, she sacrificed herself. However, it wasn’t enough, as Millia is reborn and has to sacrifice herself every 20 years in order to stop Hedria’s ritual.

You play as Millia’s guardian, Rize, who finds out about the curse and how Millia has to sacrifice herself, leading to him wanting to put an end to Millia’s cycle. Rize travels with Millia, his little sister, Meru, and childhood friend, Serina.

As Millia’s body and memory begins to be swallowed by the ritual, Rize notices that everyone except him starts acting weird, and he realizes the end is drawing near. This is where you come in.

If you want to help towards the funding of Millia – The ending then you can get a copy of the game for $5 on the Kickstarter. It’s estimated to be delivered in June 2015. You can add the soundtrack by the Japanese music group Stellatram (composers for Ar Tonelico) to that for $15, along with other goodies.
