Singapore-based game developer Afterthought Studios has confirmed its plans to launch its kinetic visual novel A More Beautiful World at Doujima – Singapore’s doujin art fair – in the second quarter of 2016. A collector’s edition and merchandise will also be available.
This announcement is due to the visual novel being fully funded on Indiegogo as of January 2nd 2016 and it having passed through Steam Greenlight in December 2015.
But it’s not over yet as Afterthought is currently making use of Indiegogo’s InDemand program to take additional funds from interested players.
A More Beautiful World follows a novice witch called Violetta as she journeys through a medieval fantasy realm where the knowledge of magic has been all but lost. It will span four acts, have a fully-voiced English-speaking cast, a score by Steven Melin and doujin music circle harmonicblend, and character sprites and cutscenes illustrated by Atelier Aria.
