Sega and Storm Collectibles have opened pre-orders for a new action figure of Akira Yuki from Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown. People can place an order for the figure on select web stores including Amiami, which supports international shipping.
Akira’s figure will have a 1/10 scale with an approximate height of 18 cm (~7 inches). The figure will come with several alternate hand parts, and three head parts showing different facial expressions. It will also include a special effect part that the buyer can use to further emphasize Akira’s punches.
Sega previously revealed the Virtua Fighter Akira Yuki action figure in October 2021. With a price tag of 14,300 yen (~$125), it initially planned to open pre-orders for the figure in mid-December 2021. However, it did not actually started opening the pre-orders until now, roughly one month later. Sega and Storm Collectibles will ship the finished products in September 2022.
Akira Yuki is the protagonist and poster boy of the Virtua Fighter franchise, similar to Street Fighter‘s Ryu. In the Yakuza collaboration pack that Sega released for Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown in December 2021, Akira received an outfit inspired by Kazuma Kiryu.
Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown is immediately available worldwide on PlayStation 4. The game is also playable in arcades in Japan, where it is known as Virtua Fighter esports.
