Mr. Tired Media, the studio of ex-NIS employees, has teased a return to Kickstarter for its visual novel and dungeon crawler hybrid Undead Darlings ~no cure for love~, and this time there will be a playable demo.
Undead Darlings failed to reach its funding goal during the initial Kickstarter campaign back in July 2015. But as Siliconera reported before, the people behind the game feel that there’s enough interest in the game to keep working on it and see it through to completion.
To do that, though, Mr. Tired Media will need the money to support the game’s development. And so to hopefully better assure people of Undead Darlings as a game idea a vertical slice demo will offer a tiny piece of the intended experience.
The demo is expected to arrive alongside the crowdfunding campaign in a few months. Before that, Mr. Tired Media will be launching a Prefundia page, which will give you a chance to offer feedback on the upcoming Kickstarter’s pitch and backer rewards.
On top of all that, Mr. Tired Media has stated that it’s committed to giving regular updates on the game’s progress before, during, and after the Kickstarter, as well as actively engaging with the people who are interested in the game.
“Even if a handful of people read things I post, it serves as archival news to show anyone who comes along that we’ve been at this for a while and we’re not stopping,” NickyB of Mr. Tired Media said. “You can talk directly to us and we will answer you without a layer of corporate BS.”
